What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is considered an evidence-based best practice treatment by the American Psychological Association and US Surgeon General. At its core, ABA therapy focuses on teaching new skills and reducing problem behavior through the use of scientifically proven strategies and techniques. ABA also includes other services such as parent training, school consultations, and staff training. One aspect that sets ABA apart from other behavioral therapies is the utilization of behavioral data. Behavioral data is taken each session and analyzed frequently throughout the treatment process to ensure treatment outcome effectiveness and accurate implementation of the techniques used.

intake process
1
Initial Consultation
We start by scheduling an initial consultation to gather information about your child and their unique needs. This consultation can take place in person, over the phone, or through a video call. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and answer any questions you may have.
2
Assessment
If both parties decide to move forward, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment to better understand your child's strengths, challenges, and areas for intervention. This assessment may involve direct observation, interviews, and standardized assessments.
3
Individualized Treatment Plan
Based on the assessment findings, our team of experienced professionals, including our board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), will develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your child's specific needs. This plan will outline the goals, strategies, and techniques we will use during therapy sessions.
At Mind Over Matter, we strive to make the intake process as seamless and efficient as possible. We understand that beginning ABA therapy is an important decision for families, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Here's an overview of our intake process:
